Katelynn Walker

M.Ed., Founding Partner

Katelynn Walker is the Founding Partner of BridgeForward Learning Partners and has dedicated the past 13 years to supporting students with diverse learning needs in both public and private educational settings. Her experience spans special education, literacy intervention, language development, and family collaboration, with a particular focus on helping students overcome reading and language-based learning challenges.

Katelynn holds a Bachelor's degree in General and Special Education, a Master's degree in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. She is certified in Texas to teach Early Childhood through Special Education and holds an English as a Second Language (ESL) supplemental certification. She currently teaches students identified with Dyslexia and related disorders and is completing the Dyslexia Specialist Preparation Program through Neuhaus Education Center while working toward certification as a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT).

Throughout her career, Katelynn has been guided by a simple belief: every child can become a successful, lifelong learner when provided with the right instruction, tools, and support. She believes in teaching the whole child, recognizing that learning is influenced by the complex connections between language, cognition, behavior, sensory processing, and overall development. By understanding each student's unique strengths and challenges, she develops individualized learning plans that produce meaningful growth and measurable outcomes.

While Academic Language Therapy is often associated with dyslexia intervention, Katelynn understands its value for any child experiencing difficulties with reading, language comprehension, or written expression. Her approach combines evidence-based instruction with a deep understanding of child development, allowing her to address not only academic challenges but also the underlying factors that impact learning.

Over the years, Katelynn has built an extensive toolbox of strategies, resources, and practical solutions to help children and families navigate learning differences, language challenges, and special education services. She is passionate about partnering with families to ensure their children receive the support they need to thrive academically, build confidence in their abilities, and develop the skills necessary for success in school and beyond.

Through BridgeForward Learning Partners, Katelynn is committed to bridging gaps in learning, empowering families, and helping every child move forward with confidence toward a brighter future.
